Assistant Visiting Professor of Art Melanie Nakaue 鈥�01 is displaying her digital art at 1078 Gallery as part of the exhibition Iterations, which will run through January 26. Her work is based on a concept called 鈥渇reakebana,鈥� a spinoff of the Japanese flower-arranging art of ikebana.

The Hill reported that the House of Representatives held a moment of silence to mark the ninth anniversary of the 2011 Tucson shooting, in which six people were killed and former Rep. Gabby Giffords 鈥�93 was severely injured. Rep. Anne Kirkpatrick, who called for the moment of silence, said: 鈥淕abby had been my mentor in the state legislature, somebody I looked up to, admired. [鈥 She鈥檚 just outstanding in every way.鈥�
