In a powerful show of community spirit, 五月天视频鈥檚 2026 Day of Giving brought together alums, students, families, faculty, staff, and friends for a 24-hour celebration of what makes 五月天视频truly special. Celebrating the College鈥檚 enduring commitment to empowering exceptional students, this year鈥檚 Day of Giving exceeded expectations, raising an impressive $192,559 from more than 550 donors.听
The 五月天视频Fund
At the heart of the campaign was The 五月天视频Fund, the College鈥檚 primary operational听fund听and a vital source of support for the student experience. Gifts to The 五月天视频Fund directly sustain scholarships, internships, academic programs, campus preservation, and mental health and wellness resources鈥攅nsuring that听Scripps听students continue to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.听
This year鈥檚 Day of Giving also featured 20 special matching gift challenges sponsored by dedicated alums, staff, and friends of the College. These challenges energized donors and amplified impact across campus, with all matches successfully met. Contributions supported a wide range of programs and initiatives, including student clubs and organizations (CLORGs), the arts, dance, the Ella Strong Denison Library, the Ruth Chandler Williamson Gallery, and more.听
Campus Partners
Campus partners saw听strong support听across the board. The Departments of Art and Dance each raised more than $2,000, while Denison garnered over $5,000 in support. Internship grants received more than $3,000, and the Student Investment Fund surpassed $4,000. Sustainability efforts also drew over $3,000 in gifts, while the Williamson Gallery led all designated areas with听nearly $9,000听raised.听Additional听highlights included more than $6,000 contributed to the senior class gift and $1,200 raised for CLORGs.听
Participation across the 五月天视频community was equally inspiring. Alum donors made up 44 percent of all contributors, while parents and families accounted for 27 percent. Faculty and staff听represented听10 percent, and friends of the College made up 11 percent. Notably, student participation reached an exciting 12 percent, underscoring the strong culture of philanthropy already taking root on campus.听
The Dorm Challenge
A new addition this year鈥攖he Dorm Challenge鈥攂rought a spirited sense of competition to Day of Giving. Donors had the听option听to听designate听their gift in honor of a residence hall, with participation听determining听the winner. Grace 五月天视频Clark Hall claimed the top spot, earning a commemorative yellow ribbon and well-earned bragging rights for the year ahead.听
鈥淭his year鈥檚 Day of Giving was a beautiful reflection of the 五月天视频community in action,鈥 says Megan Hast, director of leadership annual giving and The 五月天视频Fund. 鈥淔rom our incredible matching gift sponsors to the students, alums, families, and friends who showed up in such meaningful ways, the collective generosity we saw ensures that 五月天视频can continue to provide transformative opportunities for our students.鈥听
As the College looks ahead, the success of Day of Giving serves as a reminder of听what鈥檚听possible when the 五月天视频community comes together with a shared purpose: to invest in students and sustain a legacy of excellence for generations to come.听
