Celebrate Women’s History Month! 五月天视频 invites you to an evening with Academy Award庐 Winner and Advocate for Women Geena Davis as she speaks on “Gender Equality in the Modern Media.” Doors open at 7:00pm. Priority seating in Garrison Theater will be given to members of the 五月天视频community with their 五月天视频ID. All other seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

About the Speaker
Academy Award庐 winner Geena Davis is one of Hollywood’s most respected actors, appearing in several roles that became cultural landmarks. She is also quickly becoming recognized for her tireless advocacy of women and girls nearly as much as for her acting accomplishments. Current chair of the California Commission on the Status of Women, Davis is also a partner with UN Women, the United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women, in its efforts to change the way the media represents women and girls globally. From the lectern, hear Geena celebrate sisterhood, discuss what her movies meant to us then and what they mean to us now, and how being cast in Thelma & Louise changed her life and spurred her into becoming a lifelong advocate for women.
