California Senator聽Barbara Boxer聽has represented both Congress and the Senate for the past 33 years. As a ranking member of the Environment and Public Works, Ethics, and Senate Foreign Relations Committees, she has championed environmental protection and women’s issues on the global stage. In her memoir,聽The Art of the Tough, she takes us from her childhood in Brooklyn to the often vexing political playing field in Washington, all the while underscoring her longstanding personal mantra: never compromise about doing the right thing.
